The Amphitheatre in Verona is one of the biggest and best conserved of all roman monuments. It is one of the greatest and most prestigious archaeological monuments in Europe and its size makes it the third largest amphitheatre in Europe, after the Coliseum in Rome and the Amphitheatre Campano in Campania near Naples. So where better to hold an opera? The world famous open air opera in Verona ran the gauntlet with the weather every year. To state the obvious, rain is going to wreak havoc on an open air production - of any kind! The costs of cancelled performances, ticket refunds etc can run into millions of Euros.

To this end, the Arena di Verona teamed up with RaceMet for a season in 2001 to see how our expertise could help them. Needless to say RaceMet are still here. The organisers soon learned that accuracy is indeed our key and were astounded at how much RaceMet could aid them. By delaying the start of just one performance instead of cancelling it, proved such a financial success that a partnership was destined to be formed. And we can announce we have just been signed up for the 2005 season.
