"Le Mans 2001 was something very special. Le Mans always is, but if you add 19 hours of rain, sometimes-heavy downpours.it becomes so special to be a nightmare. Pit stop strategy is changing constantly because of the need to change tyres - slicks, wets and intermediates. We had a great deal of help from RaceMet. So because the circuit makes a Formula One circuit look like a go-kart track, we could see rain on some parts and nothing at other places. RaceMet informed us perfectly where, when and for how long the rain would arrive and last. Crucial for our strategy and victory in 2001."
