Audi Sport Team Joest

Weatherman David Morton stays on board for 2002

In the 2002 Le Mans edition, the Audi Sport Team Joest for another time, counts on the support of weatherman David Morton from RaceMet Radar Systems and therefore renews the contract with the English clairvoyant.

Already for two years, the English company, founded in 1996 by entrepreneur David Morton, delivers a meticulous weather forecast for Audi Sport Team Joest at the French long distance classic race. For this reason, the Audi R8 drivers are always up-to-date in terms of rain or drought.

Especially in races in an area of unsteady weather like Le Mans and the Sarthe region, the forecasts of weather-guru Morton remain irreplaceable. At the chaotic Le Mans race in 2001, where the weather was nutty as a fruitcake, his predictions weighed like gold. "While other teams were sliding over the track on their slicks, we had already changed onto rain tires", explains Ralf Juettner, Technical Director of the Audi Sport Team Joest.

In order not to be left out in the rain in 2002, the team around Reinhold Joest, continues trusting in the work of David Morton and his team. Certainly, RaceMet Radar Systems can contribute to the Audi Sport Team Joest performance again.
